Journey deep into the heart of Hastings historic West Hill to discover the fascinating world of the Smugglers Adventure in St Clements Caves.

Forever linked to the most famous date in ERnglish history - and the Battle of Hastings - the ruins of Britain's first Norman castle are also home to the 1066 story where visitors will be transported forward through the centuries from October 14th 1066 all the way through to the Second World War.

Planet Hastings Crazy Golf is nestled away in White Rock Gardens, Hastings next to 'The Birthday Party Capital of the Universe', Clambers Play Centre, the bowling greens and Falaise Hall. The eighteen holes are landscaped into a natural setting surrounded by trees, shrubs, streams and even a waterfall - well a miniature waterfall - that players have to putt over, risking their ball being swept over a precipice by the swirling water. Planet Hastings Crazy Golf is home not only to crazy golfers but also a family of badgers, foxes, newts and a variety of bird life.07717 894385

Then why not come on a Stade Orientation Walk?

Priced at £2 for adults and £1 for children the Stade Orientation Walks are part of the Stade Education Project, a new three year Heritage Lottery Funded project designed to give people a chance to learn and enjoy the cultural and environmental heritage of the Stade.

Stade Orientation Walks are led by Stade Volunteer Guides and take place every Saturday at 2pm throughout the summer season (June, July, August and September). The first walk takes place on Saturday 6th June at 2pm.

All Stade Orientation Walks start inside the Old Town Museum on the High Street in the Old Town (opposite Judges bakery).

Places on the tour are limited to 15 people per tour so please arrive early at the Old Town Museum to avoid disappointment. Places will be given on a first come first served basis on the day.

Each Stade Orientation Walk lasts approximately 1 hour. The walk covers some uneven ground and as such is not recommended for people with wheelchairs / mobility problems. If you have a mobility or specialist need, please contact us to arrange a tour tailored to your requirements, or if you have any questions, please contact Beatrice Cole, Stade Education Officer on 01424 451167 or e mail: bcole@hastings.gov.uk

The Stade Orientation Walks scheme is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and supported by Interreg and Hastings Borough Council.
