Seahorses have both amazed and enchanted humans since Classical times.
Our displays are home to dozens of seahorses offering visitors the chance to observe these magical fish and the fascinating way they interact both with each other and their marine environment.
Virtually every one of the world's seahorse species is now endangered; Blue Reef's hugely successful captive breeding programmes helps ease the pressure on the wild populations.
Our aquarists are proud of their success in breeding endangered seahorse species - you can meet third, fourth and even fifth generation babies in the Blue Reef Nursery!
