Blue Reef Aquarium, Newquay seeks a seasonal part-time Catering Assistant 

Blue Reef Aquarium, Newquay part of the ASPRO Ocio Group, has an exciting opportunity to join our café team. The job involves working variable hours to include working week days, weekends, bank holidays and school holiday periods. Remuneration complies with National Minimum Wage.

Do you enjoy working in a team, are motivated and hard working? We’d like you to assist in the running of our Café in an efficient manner, offering excellent customer service, maximising sales and complying with all hygiene rules and regulations.

Key duties:

• To prepare food to the highest quality, following all health and safety and hygiene procedures.
• To assist in opening and closing the outlets in accordance with procedures.
• To acknowledge visitors and offer excellent customer service at all times.
• To maintain a safe and clean kitchen, servery and seating area at all times.
• To help deliver Birthday Parties.
• To have complete product knowledge of the exhibits, talks and all commercial activity including retail and catering.
• To work as per the rota that may include evening hours to assist with late opening of the aquarium.
• To assist with monthly stocktakes, ordering, stock rotation.

Post requirements:

• Excellent timekeeping and attendance.
• A positive and enthusiastic nature.
• Fully flexible all year round for weekends and holidays.
• Experience working in a café and/or customer service environment is essential.
• Applicants must have kitchen/food preparation experience/qualifications

About the Company
Bristol Aquarium, one of the South West’s top tourist attractions and one of the newest Aquariums in the UK has an opening for a Sales & Marketing Manager to join its team.
Bristol Aquarium is part of Aspro Ocio, a Spanish multinational company with its headquarters based in Madrid. Aspro owns and operates over 65 leisure attractions across Europe, 9 of which are located in the UK.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager of Bristol Aquarium, your primary focus will be to drive the business forward using innovative marketing and sales techniques to increase visitor numbers, revenue and market share.

As an experienced sales and marketing professional you will also be required to assist with the marketing strategy at our other UK attractions.

This is a full time post which involves working 5 days a week and often includes working weekends and bank holidays.

About You
To truly hit the ground running, you would have previously worked within the marketing or sales function within a leisure organisation. You will have a full driver’s licence as well as a marketing qualification.

Your interpersonal skills will be second to none, ensuring you can build successful and professional relationships both externally and internally.

You will be creative to come up with new and innovative ideas yet a logical thinker so you are able to justify your ideas.

Blue Reef Aquarium, Portsmouth seeks an Operations Manager – Sales & Marketing

Blue Reef Aquarium, Southsea is a leading visitor attraction in the South has an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join its team as an Operations Manager with a focus on Sales & Marketing.

Reporting to the General Manager of the site you will be responsible for the day to day operations of Portsmouth Aquarium and be rota’d on to cover Duty Manager responsibilities when required. Such duties will involve:

• Responsible for all cash office procedure whilst Duty Manager
• Daily management of the attraction including ensuring our Guests receive World Class Customer Service at all times
• Open and closing of the attraction
• Ensure any health and safety issues including Risk Assessments relating to daily activities are correctly carried out and reported.

In conjunction with the General Manager, you will also be responsible for the coordination of the Sales & Marketing of the attraction in order to drive and grow visitor numbers.

With a strong background in operations management, you will also have a passion for sales and marketing and be looking to develop this through studying a formal qualification. Although Sales & Marketing experience is not essential criteria, you must be eager to learn and want to grow and progress your career in this direction. In return we will give you the support, career progression and opportunities to develop your career in sales and marketing.

This is a full time post which involves working 5 days a week and often includes working weekends and Bank Holidays. A full driving licence is essential.

Oakwood Theme Park seeks a Seasonal Rides Manager
Seasonal Fixed Term 40 hours per week from March to November 2014

Oakwood Theme Park is located in the idyllic setting of Pembrokeshire, West Wales and has an exciting opportunity for an individual to be involved at the heart of the sites daily operations.
The role provides a unique working environment in the leisure industry and this is a varied and challenging role, with responsibilities including;
• Enforcing health and safety policies and procedures at all times, ensuring it remains our No 1 priority.
• Motivating and leading a team of Ride Operators who are responsible for dispatching the rides in a fun, but safe and clean environment.
• Demonstrating a professional and consistent management style that reflects the needs of both the team and the business
• Performing additional duties as part of the operational management team, such as Park Manager for the day as may be required

To be successful you will need to be:
• Confident and able to work in an environment that provides interaction with various departments and members of the public.
• Have a good understanding of health and safety within the leisure industry with knowledge of HSG175 desirable
• Have experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Experienced in a fast paced customer service position
• Be organised, punctual, and willing to be involved in most aspects of the day to day running of a busy theme park.
• This is a full time seasonal role, based upon working 5 days per week out of 7 and includes regular bank holiday and weekend working.
