From now until Christmas, visitors can escape the winter chills and enjoy a spectacular seasonal undersea safari trail as well as meeting Father Christmas in his special undersea grotto.
Once they have embarked on their trail visitors will experience incredibly close encounters with hundreds of aquatic creatures ranging from magical seahorses and bizarre puffer fish to awesome octopus and graceful sharks and stingrays.
As part of the visit there will be regular presentations by the aquarium’s aquarists and the chance to come face to face with snakes and bearded dragons in an Animal Encounter.
The undersea tour will include a visit to Santa Claus in his sea-themed grotto where youngsters will receive a festive gift.
Christmas and New Year is a great time to visit the aquarium and escape the cold weather. Spectacular tropical displays will transport you to another world and help you forget about all that dreaded Christmas shopping!
With its naturally-themed tropical displays and underwater walkthrough tunnel the aquarium is an oasis of light and colour even on the darkest days.
Standard admission ticket prices apply. To enjoy the Seaside Santa experience there will be an additional £3 charge per child, including under 3’s. T’s and C’s apply.
Santa will be available from Monday to Friday 12.30pm – 2.30pm and Saturdays and Sundays 11.00am – 3.30pm.
