‘Mermaid’ swims ashore to meet aquarium guests

Hastings Blue Reef Aquarium is playing host to a breathtaking, real-life mermaid this summer.   On Saturday, August 19th visitors can take part in a meet and greet with Mermaid Anna, a mythical and magical interactive character.   As well as taking ‘shellfies’ with Mermaid Anna, guests can also enjoy storytelling, wish granting and learning about ocean conservation.   As part of the fun, a mermaid themed trail will also be taking place around the aquarium.
