Don’t miss Blue Reef’s biggest star, Charlie the Clownfish lending a fin to help switch on SOME OF Portsmouth’s best Christmas Lights in the coming weeks.
His first engagement is in Southsea on Thursday, November 15th when he will be at the Palmerston Road Shopping Precinct from 4pm to 6pm.
The cuddly costume character from Portsmouth’s Blue Reef Aquarium will be joining a variety of other entertainments including musical acts, entertainments, children’s rides and a staged lights switch on before the event culminates with a fireworks finale.
Finally on Thursday, November 28th Charlie will be travelling to Cosham to take part in the official turning on of their Christmas Lights. Taking place between 4pm-6pm in Cosham High Street, the event will also feature a variety of other entertainments including music, children’s rides and fireworks.
Blue Reef’s Jen Atkinson said: “It really feels like the official run up to Christmas begins with the switching on of the Christmas Lights in Southsea and it’s great that Charlie has been invited to take part in the celebrations.
“He’s definitely going to be kept busy over the coming weeks but we’re all looking forward to getting in the festive mood and we’re busy planning our own Christmas activities here at the aquarium, including Charlie’s very own Christmas party!” she added.
Blue Reef is open every day throughout the Christmas holidays, except Christmas Day.
