Summer may be over, but, that doesn’t mean the fun stops there! The coming Autumn months in Portsmouth are jam-packed with entertainment, culture, and good old Pompey tradition.

If the rain is bringing you down, then take a trip to Guildhall and have a few laughs with funnyman Joe Lycett. Known for his internet trolling, this brummy brings the digital world to life as he asks audience members to actively tweet him during his performance. His punchlines and witty delivery definitely shouldn’t be missed.
Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra: Beethoven Five

Eastney Beach Clean

Venue: Meet outside the Coffee Cup
Time to put those gloves on, grab those litter pickers, and get cleaning. Help keep our beaches clean to protect our environment and creatures. The aim of the beach clean is to remove anything man-made from the shores e.g. plastics, metals, and textiles. Clean for as long as you want, there is no limit to saving our oceans – just make sure you return your full bags to the start point.

Running for its fifth year, the Love Southsea Market is back and bigger than ever. Browse through exciting arts and craft stalls, local trader pop-ups, and delicious street food stalls that send gorgeous foodie aromas through the air of Portsmouth. You wouldn’t be mocked for thinking you were on the cobbles of a little town in Italy – with the famous Pompey charm, of course!
Great South Run Weekend

Venue: Southsea Seafront
Where’s your running shoes? Time to tie those laces because the end of October sees Portsmouth transformed into a city full of racers. Taking in some of the most beautiful sites Portsmouth has to offer, the race will run past the Spinnaker Tower, through the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, and along the seafront.
Don’t be fooled into thinking you have to be Kelly Holmes to take part because there are a number of various races across the whole weekend. Whether you’re a beginner, a pro, or want to run alongside your little ones – there’s a race for everyone.

Sacrifice and Remembrance

To mark the 100th anniversary of WW1, Becket Hall presents a look at the sacrifices made during the war. You’ll be told the stories of fallen soldiers and learn how the Commonwealth War Graves Commission commemorate the sacrifices made.

Southsea Beach Clean

Starting at 10am, let’s all work together to help keep our beaches clean. You’ll be on the lookout for any man-made products such as plastics and metals to discard from our shores. Millions and millions of tonnes of waste enter our oceans yearly and threatens the safety and lives of thousands of beautiful creatures. Join the people of Portsmouth early in November to help protect our oceans.
Gunwharf Quays Fireworks Extravaganza

Remember, remember the fifth of November, right? Wrong! This year we need you to remember the eighth of November. Gunwharf Quays will be lighting up the Pompey skies once again with a firework extravaganza not to be missed. Along with a beautiful backdrop of Gunwharf Quays there will be live music and performances, which will be announced sooner to the time.
